Write for us
We welcome pitches that help a general reader understand a visible feature of the sky, light, the Moon or familiar weather without relying on specialist access or risky observation.
What to pitch
Propose a focused explanation, comparison, historical background piece, myth check or observation guide. Choose one clear question and show what a reader will understand by the end. Topics should be evergreen and possible to handle without professional advice, hazardous experiments or claims that require local rules.
What makes a strong proposal
Send a working title, a short summary, the central point, the likely sections and a note on the sources or expertise the piece would need. Tell us about any relevant experience without implying credentials we have not verified. Avoid broad surveys and pitches that depend on invented scenes, unsupported predictions or access you do not have.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. A pitch is not a commission, and we may edit accepted work for clarity, accuracy and length. Please do not send a complete article unless requested.
The sky rewards a second look
A changing view can prompt good questions. We explain the patterns behind what you see, while keeping observation separate from prediction.
